quick, compact and good at what it does
I was skeptical about this little egg cooker despite the reviews. I usually use my instant pot, but that is huge and a lot to clean for only a few eggs, so I would make 12-15 at a time. Great until they sit in the fridge too long and aren’t good anymore. I was also looking to try something compact and good for one person to test out for my college student. This fit that requirement well and actually goods good eggs. I’ve only had it a week, so I can’t speak to longevity, but so far so good.I have found that the water level meant for medium boiled eggs gives me perfect hard boiled while the hard boiled egg line gives me over cooked eggs with the green ring around the yolk. I am at sea level, so that might make the difference too. But the eggs are easy to peel and taste good and this little cooker is extremely fast as well which is an improvement over the instant pot. Makes it easy to make eggs for a snack. It sings a cute little song when it’s done and washes up super quick since it is so small.

Never have hard to peel eggs again
I buy this egg cooker for everyone. Anytime someone complains about making hard boiled eggs or talks about how hard they are to peel I surprise them with this. It is by far the best kitchen gadget that I have. It is cheap and so easy even my son, who would rather not eat because he doesn’t cook, uses this at his apartment. It does more than hard boil, but I have never tried the other egg cooking options like omelet making etc. I am sure that would make it even better. This is great for a dorm room, taking on vacation, for elderly friend or relative who really should not be using a pan of boiling water. You will never make hard boiled eggs any other way once you have this. Buy IT!!

Easy to use and clean
I would recommend this item because it is very easy to use but also to clean. It does not take up much room on the kitchen counter and you are able to quickly cook a variety of different egg types. It poached eggs very well.

It cooks eggs like you would expect. Arrived with a broken handle. There was not box damage. Quality control on shipping could be better. This was the 2nd one we bought and will probably buy another when we need to.

Not Just a Single-Use Appliance
I bought this half as a joke. My dad eats more eggs than a fox in a henhouse, but has ruined multiple pots forgetting about them on the stove. Egg cookers are one of those things people love to turn their noses up and laugh at. “A single-use appliance? For boiling eggs? Wowwww, can you people do anything?”I was once “people.” And I was so, so wrong.This device is, essentially, a steamer. The “timer” is the amount of water you put in, and it turns off and plays its little song when it senses that the water is gone. You don’t have to worry about a steaming basket or anything; you just prick a hole into each egg, pour in the recommended amount of water (conveniently marked on the measuring cup!), and wait.First of all, you do not know peak boiled eggs until you know them steamed. They’re so easy to peel. So easy. You can roll them on the counter and the shell basically comes right off. Secondly, you can actually steam things other than eggs in the egg cooker. Sometimes I want exactly three frozen har gow. Normally, that amount isn’t worth the effort of getting out the steamer insert, steaming them on the stove, and then cleaning the pot and insert and everything. You *can* microwave them, sure, and I bet the big bag from Costco has instructions for that on the back. But you can also steam them in the egg cooker. Even though they’re not eggs. And they’re like 100x better that way.In short, this thing is a compact beast that produces not only perfect boiled eggs that even my dad can make, but also really good small servings of dumplings. Or, like, anything else that you can cook by steaming that fits into this thing. It’s versatile. And so far, it’s lasted through every har gow and steamed bun and Chinese steamed egg and shrimp that I’ve put into it–which is a lot.

Y’ALL NEED THIS!
Y’all. This little thing will change your life! I got it delivered around 5AM and you best believe I brought it in my house, cleaned it and then started them eggs. Within like 15 minutes they were done and it was a nice little jingle. I didn’t have to stand there waiting to see if the water was boiling and then time how long it’s been boiling and all that really time consuming stuff. I love this thing.Absolutely recommend this gadget.
