Works fast, looks great
I love everything about it, except the extra weight of glass, but I am adjusting. Also wanted the extra wattage.Still new to air frying, so I am starting simple and learning how to use different functions. Fresh air fried sweet potatoes, recrisping pizza, chicken strips, etc. But I’ve scoured my cookbooks, and flagged recipes I want to try. I am adding to my arsenal of tools to maintain my macro diet and still have yummy food I crave. It is the more expensive product, but I wanted the flexibility to adjust times, temps, etc. and not just rely on set modes. It works much faster than my son’s air fryer, more roomy for serving multiple people.Birthday present to myself! Also purchased 4 quart dish and accessories.

More than meets the eye
Ninja Crispi Pro Glass Air Fryer, 6-in-1 / w.6 qt & 2.5 qt Bowls / Mdl #AS101WH1 / ASIN: B0HBF7NS25 / $300Besides the obvious, there are marked differences between this air fryer and one with the traditional drawer basket, including Ninja’s own latest models in the latter’s lineup. The heating coil draws 1800 watts at maximum setting — this allows for rapid heat generation and fast recovery when cold food is added. Fast recovery is a major selling point of most high end air fryers, but it’s also a point that often goes unnoticed. This unit isn’t all about looks — there are reasons for its design. The heavy-duty borosilicate glass container handles thermal shock just like any Pyrex or Corningware cookware — it can safely sustain high-heat convection cycles up to 450°F without warping or degrading. Traditional units with metal baskets peak at 400°F. You’ll also notice one additional cook function giving it the “6” in its 6-in-1 rating — “Recrisp”.The nameplate data is important to research when shopping for appliances, but in the end, it’s all about the cook. A combination of the added watts and higher max temp not only give you more versatility and cooking options, but also allow your foods to obtain that very desirable extra crisp that no one ever complains about. This model shines on reheating cold, left-over foods as well, rejuvenating the unavoidable softened and mushy textures into something incredibly more palatable and tasty. With other machines, you run the risk of over-drying and even burning trying to get that crisp back the following day. You’ll also notice matching lids are included for the modular bowls. The lid and their square design makes them ideal for fridge storage but don’t be shy using them as separate baking dishes or even mixing bowls. The rounded corners are easy to squeegee out with a rubber spatula. For smaller kitchens and for those who want extra options alike, this is an added convenience you might not readily appreciate. But even if used exclusively in the appliance, the glass bowls will go directly to the table while looking like they belong there. As a high power draw appliance, you will do best plugging this into a dedicated 20 amp circuit which will give you a comfortable margin of cushion even when allowing for 80% of maximum capacity with the air fryer is running at continuous maximum load. I only mention this because as enticing as the appliance looks and while it theoretically will operate on a 15 amp circuit, breaker trips might not be avoidable on the lesser rated circuits. Ditto if you try to run it on any circuit concurrently with another high wattage appliance. This is an attractive and unique looking unit that looks good on the counter, and Amazon’s exclusive bone & champagne color scheme only adds to the flair. It deserves its own electrical receptacle. [FYI: For US household 120 volt service, a 20 amp circuit is rated for 2400 watts max; 15 amp is 1800 watts.]My counter space is limited. Ninja also makes a dual glass bowl air fryer, but as a single person, most of the time I only need one appliance. I’m not getting rid of my other air fryer, just adding this one to the fold for more options and versatility. Cooking a whole roaster in the large 6 qt bowl and a couple of sides in its smaller 2.5qt companion while the meat rests is now an option, but that extra crisp on leftovers will also now never be taken for granted.//

This is now my favorite small appliance of all time.
This is now my favorite small appliance of all time.Made an entire meal last nightwith this, you can use it to make just about anything and it makes it well. I made a whole roasted chicken, with potatoes and onions. Then I made brussels sprouts in the smaller container. Then just to be extra, we had a steak defrosted in the fridge, and I made a steak as well, and it was great. The amount of crisp you can get on everything is amazing, it’s as if this was in a professional thousand degree grill, but you get it from a countertop appliance. The brussels sprouts came out crispy than I’ve ever gotten in a regular air fryer, and they roasted chicken came out better than I’ve ever gotten in my oven which is a high-end convection oven. Just make sure you don’t overload it, that was my mistake with the chicken. I added too many potatoes and the ones at the bottom didn’t cook, it wasn’t a big deal though. I just took the chicken out and continued to roast them and they got done within 10 minutes.Pros: well-made, easy to use, gets things insanely crispyCons: I do wish the 6.5 quart was a tiny bit bigger, but it is plenty big as it isThe main unit itself is constructed solidly of a plastic shell, that makes it easy to clean, the base holder for the actual containers is made out of solid metal and locks in very securely. The containers themselves are made out of it very solid and durable, feeling glass, with the plastic handles and bass permanently attached, which gives you something to grab them by and something to set them down on.The unit itself comes fully assembled, all you have to do is pick which size container you want to use and install it into the unit, by sliding it in. You do have to get used to the way the container slide in you have to place the leading edge in and then kind of press up a little bit to activate the lock on top, but once you get the hang of it, it’s very easy.Everything functions great, it’s easy to set up your meal, with the twist knob and the buttons. It’s very easy to select your mode, and your temperature as well as your total time, the buttons are easy to press and give you tactile feedback, which I always likeThis thing is great to use to cook almost anything, gets a great sear on meat,, potatoes, super crispy, would work great for a traditional air fryer to make french fries or chicken nuggets. I can’t think of anything this would be bad at. I haven’t tried it yet, but this would be great to use in my RV, as I can make an entire meal in a small countertop space and not have to use a real oven.It is small enough to fit on pretty much any counter, would even fit nicely in an RV set up. The only thing to note is, you can only have one container in, and he would then have to store the other one somewhere. This has your typical ninja styling that you would expect and the cream color makes it fit in just about anywhere. This is nice to look at, and great to use.Overall, this is one of my favorite small appliances of all time, you can cook just about anything in this thing and it will come out great.

Fast, precise cooking in a countertop system unlike anything else we own
This appliance is unlike anything else we own, Ninja brand or otherwise, so we were excited to see just how versatile it could be in our kitchen. It arrived in great condition with no scratches, tarnishing, or odd smells, and included the larger 6 quart glass vessel along with the smaller 2.5 quart one. The 4 quart size is sold separately if you want that middle option, but the base itself is designed to accommodate it.Getting started was straightforward once we worked through the included instructions, though we quickly learned this machine rewards a bit of trial and error. We tested it with a 5 pound chicken using the included crisper plate underneath, and found that between the size of the bird and the plate taking up some of the vertical space, we had to adjust positioning to get it to fit comfortably without the top getting too close to the heat source. It is likely that a larger bird would fit more easily without the crisper plate in place, so a lot of this really comes down to understanding how different foods and accessories interact inside the bowl, more than anything being wrong with the capacity itself. We also found that placement matters quite a bit for even cooking. On our first attempt, vegetables placed around the sides of the chicken ended up overcooking before the chicken itself was done, so we rearranged things and had better luck spreading everything out more intentionally. Once we adjusted, the chicken came out fantastic, and we have had a lot of fun since then experimenting with other foods as we get a better feel for how heat moves through the bowl. The temperature control has been a genuine highlight. Regardless of which mode we are using, we have been able to dial in a specific temperature every time, which is a noticeable step up from older versions of this type of appliance. Cleanup has also been simple, which makes it easier to want to keep cooking with it rather than dreading what comes after. One practical note, this is a large appliance, so it is worth making sure you have adequate storage space, since it is too big to live permanently on our counter. Overall, this has been a rewarding machine once we got past the initial learning curve, and we are excited to keep exploring what else it can do.

My new favorite kitchen appliance, by far
I absolutely love this Ninja air fryer. It has seriously changed my cooking (and my eating) overnight. I use it daily, sometimes a few times daily, and it’s led me to want to try multiple different foods that I wouldn’t have thought to buy or try before. It’s brought fun and adventure back to cooking and to grocery shopping. Plus, it’s beautiful to behold and a joy to handle.I’ve always liked cooking, but these days I have less time and energy for it, between the prep work, the actual cooking, and the cleanup. This Ninja lets me cook all different types of food in a fraction of the time, and the results are outstanding nearly every time. If the results aren’t what I expect or want, I can just adjust the various inputs (cooking mode, temps, and time; glass container size, use of crisper tray and/or separate container, etc.) until I get what I want. It helps that I love crispy and crunchy food, and also the added flavor that comes from the maillard reaction. The control interface is super simple and intuitive, and allows for real-time adjustments and experimentation. This makes it so much fun to cook again. I literally have to stop myself from jumping to use it each time I come up with a new thing to try. Today, it was air-fried salmon croquettes made out of canned salmon. I have been trying to eat more tinned fish beyond just sardines and tuna, but don’t love the texture of canned salmon. So I was looking for ways to transform it via my magic Ninja, and came across a recipe online that I can’t wait to try tonight. So far, I have used the Ninja for everything from frozen foods to leftovers to even baked goods. Most recently, I tried cornbread, which came out perfectly using a stainless steel baking pan on top of the crisper rack, and a combo of bake and max crisp – it turned out moist on the inside and crispy/crunchy on top. I now want to try every frozen entree and side dish at the supermarket – it takes a fraction of the time in the Ninja (vs an oven or even a toaster oven) and comes out much better than most takeout, with a lot more control.Cleanup is just as quick and easy (ignoring the heating element and the metal cage covering it – still trying to figure out the best way to clean that). I’m not sure how this is possible, but despite some grease splatter when cooking at fairly high heat, I have yet to experience any baked-on food or grease inside the glass pan that hasn’t been easily washed off with dish soap and hot water after soaking for just a few minutes. The only caveat is that the 6qt glass pan can be a tad heavy and unwieldy if you have arthritis or other grip or wrist strength issues.Another bonus is that there are many aftermarket racks and other accessories you can get for this, including on Amazon, and numerous online videos and communities sharing recipes and cooking tips for both the Ninja and air fryers in general. Ninja also has a 4qt glass bowl that comes in some Crispi Pro sets but not this one. I’ll likely be getting the 4qt glass bowl, which I suspect will be the most useful size for me, and also some aftermarket stainless steel racks.I love that there is minimal plastic near the food, though it’d be amazing if Ninja came out with a version of this that had metal housing, and stainless steel racks (instead of the current ceramic coated one). It’d be worth the premium price.Ninja has a cheaper and more compact (non-Pro) version of the Crispi (one popular set is here: https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Microwave-Dishwasher-Containers-FN101ST/dp/B0DJFBDFZK), which came out first and is still available for sale. Having compared the two and read a number of user reviews, I’m glad I started with the Pro. The original version takes up as much space on the counter when in use; doesn’t have precise temperature control but just 4-5 cooking modes; reportedly has a lower max cooking temperature; and involves removing the heating element from the top of the glass pan each time you want to access the food, including mid-cook when you want to check on or flip the food. The main benefit of the original Crispi is that it nests and stores more compactly than the Pro, and is therefore more portable. The 4qt and 6qt glass pans are interchangeable between the original and the Pro, and I’m tempted to get one of the original/non-Pro sets that come with a 4qt pan, since I wanted to get this size pan anyway. It’ll be nice to have a second Crispi, and one that can be easily stored away when not in use.I am truly so happy with this incredible Ninja, and can’t imagine cooking without it now. I can’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful glass Air fryer with a 6 or 2.5 quart container.
I LOVE THIS beautiful air fryer from Ninja. It comes with 2 size containers: 6 and 2.5 quart sizes. (A 4 quart container is available separately as an optional purchase.) The glass containers come with permanently attached handles, removable metal crisping plates and snap on lids. When the container is hot, instructions caution you to use protection, but I was able to carefully take the container out. You are supposed to stir/shake about every 5 minutes, and I was impressed that the build of the container and handle seemed rock solid as I shook the containers. I like that there are no harmful chemicals in the surfaces that contact food. It is such a convenience to be able to see the food at all times. Construction is like a luxury car: everything fits tightly but not too tight. All surfaces are beautiful. The glass can go from frozen cold to hot. The literature doesn’t specify borosilicate glass, so I would be careful going from hot to cold. The instructions say let the container cool down before washing or putting into water. There are 6 heating functions: dehydrate (195 degrees F), bake/proof (the minimum proof temp is not specified), max crisp, air fry, roast and recrisp. All controls are from the front panel on top. You can set time, temp, mode and on/off easily. The controls are so easy and intuitive you only need the manual to tell you what exactly the different modes do. When you use the fryer and want to stir the food in the middle of your cook, you just pull the container out. (The manufacturer says to use gloves, but I found the handles large enough that I didn’t.) Once you pull the container out the unit instantly stops. After stirring or shaking your food, slide it back in and it will start right where you left of. The timer doesn’t count the time you had the container out of the unit. Like all air fryers, capacity is limited to make servings for up to about 4 people for main dishes. I tried it on making a chick-pea snack in the small container; it came out crispy and delicious. I also tried making ribs –using a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs for my wife and I it used about 1/2 of the capacity of the 6 quart container. They were great! I made roasted red peppers–in the past I have tried making these on the grill and under the broiler. MAKING THE ROASTED RED PEPPERS IN THE AIR FRYER WAS THE EASIEST METHOD EVER…AND ALONE JUSTIFIES THE MACHINE! Most other methods involve so much turning to roast all sides, but this air fryer roasts all sides at once, so you turn much less. They were so evenly roasted, and the bonus was you could see the state of cooking through the glass! I also tried roasted carrots –again delicious and easy. The surprise to me is THE GLASS CONTAINERS LET YOU SEE EVERYTHING AS IT HAPPENS, MAKING ADJUSTMENTS EASIER.The other surprise is cleanup is easy: I was surprised that the oil I put on the food hardly splatters on the glass. If I were making the same food in a sheet pan, as the food cooks, the pan gets baked on grease spots that require so much scrubbing to get off. And then the splatters in the oven build up, etc. etc. More work than I want. After letting the glass cool, you just rinse everything off then only scrub a little bit. Then the containers and crisper inserts go right into the dishwasher. This is probably one of the more expensive air fryers –but having GLASS MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

Great design and excellent performance
We’ve had a Ninja AF181 air fryer for awhile now and it’s been a fantastic appliance, so we were excited to upgrade to this model, particularly for the more modern aesthetic for something always on the counter and for the prospect of glass being easier to clean than the metal baskets. The lids and multipurpose storage were nice to haves, but not the main event. This new style is simple to set up, as it’s really just removing packing materials and giving the baskets a quick wash. The glass is heavy as you’d expect but the pleasant first surprise was the tray and handles to move them around. They’re a great addition and the tray has rubber feet to prevent sliding. The tray is non-removable from the glass, which was surprising and does make cleaning the exterior of the bottom more challenging, though no food or grease touches the outside so it’s not a huge deal.Operationally, it’s very intuitive and you don’t even need the directions to use it, though the included directions are very clear and easy to follow. Sliding the glass in and out of position is simple enough and the unit provides a good (if slightly imperfect – seal. The preheat is reasonably fast, though it’s a bit slower than our old one (by maybe 1 minute). Cook times on the old one were consistently 2 minutes less than recipes called for, and this one is pretty much right at what they do.It does an excellent job with whatever we’ve thrown at it so far, including chicken, fried chicken, chicken strips, bacon, burritos/chimichangas, potstickers, and quick reheat leftovers. Always evenly cooked and the right amount of crisp. The only real downside to this one is how the baskets operate compared to our older one with the sliding metal drawer: that one you could simply slide out most of the way and be hands-off for serving. This one requires complete removal of the glass container and placing on the counter, so you need the additional counter space for that along with the extra step of complete remove and replace vs a quick slide out and in.That’s a minor annoyance that we’ve grown accustomed to, but it was really the only downside to the upgrade.Other than that, this is a solid, well designed and nice looking unit. It’s an easy 5 stars all day long.

So so
Love the look! Countertop approved! 😆 The 6qt has issues with getting the “click in” just right. I’m not sold for $280. We are an air fryer house, we had the Ninja Foodie prior to this one. That thing was a beast but we wore the heck out of it!

Excellent Performance and Beautiful Bone & Champagne Colors – Compact, Versatile Design
We have had another Ninja air fryer for about three years and use it almost daily, so I have a good basis for comparison. I’ve been testing this Ninja Crispi Pro Glass Air Fryer for more than three weeks, and I appreciate its attractive, modern design, compact footprint, and relatively easy portability. The bone and champagne color combination looks beautiful on our countertop. My favorite feature is the transparent glass cooking containers, which let me monitor food as it cooks without pulling out a basket or interrupting the cooking cycle to check its progress. The controls on the top panel are intuitive, particularly if you’re already familiar with air fryers, and the unit feels solid and well-constructed. I also appreciate that the food-contact surfaces have no traditional nonstick coating. The included snap-on lids make it convenient to store leftovers in the same containers used for cooking, then re-crisp them later. The system includes 6-quart and 2.5-quart glass containers, with a 4-quart container available separately. The larger container accommodates a medium-sized whole chicken, while the smaller one is handy for individual meals, side dishes, and reheating vegetables. The six cooking functions—Air Fry, Max Crisp, Recrisp, Roast, Bake/Proof, and Dehydrate—provide plenty of flexibility for everyday use. I also like the auto-pause feature, which pauses cooking when you remove the container and resumes when you put it back in. This is convenient when shaking or checking food.Cleanup has been straightforward. The smooth glass containers are easy to rinse, and I can put them in the dishwasher. I find them easier to clean than a traditional air fryer basket when grease and food residue are involved. Despite its versatility, the unit doesn’t take up as much counter or storage space as some larger appliances, which is a plus in a limited kitchen. Overall, this air fryer combines attractive styling, useful cooking functions, convenient food monitoring, and easy cleanup. Based on my testing and how often I expect to use it, I think it offers good value for money.
