Amazing Compact Electric Shaver
This is my first Manscaped product ever and I’m glad I gave this a chance. I was using a BaBylissPRO MetalFX double foil shaver for the past 2 years as my portable electric shaver in the car when I woke up late and didn’t have time to shave or when I travel and don’t want to bring my large Braun Series 9 Pro+ with me. However, my BaBylissPRO MetalFX shaver got lost when the airport lost my luggage so I was looking for a replacement. I didn’t want to drop another $170 for the same compact electric shaver so I looked at alternatives. Lo and behold I saw the Manscaped Handyman on sale for $56. it’s less than 3x as cheap as the BaBylissPRO MetalFX so I thought I’d give it a chance at that price. I’m glad I did because this is an excellent compact electric shaver. The main thing that makes this compact electric foil shaver stand out from other similarly sized items is that it has a hybrid design. You get one foil shaver on the bottom that gives you a close shave but a trimmer on top that cuts down longer hair. All the other compact electric foil shavers that I’ve tried either came with just one foil shaver or two foil shaver. Now some people might not like the hybrid design since it might take more passes on your face to get a close shave (again it’s only ONE foil shaver for a close shave) compared to an electric shaver that has two foil shavers, but I like the versatility of having the foil shaver and a trimmer together in case I don’t shave for a few days and my facial hair is too long. The BaBylissPRO MetalFX that I had came with a stronger motor (at least it feels stronger with how much the thing vibrates in my hands and how much louder it is) but it struggled if my facial hair was a tad long. The BaByliss shaver would yank my hair if this was the case and I would need to trim it down first before I try shaving again. I am glad to say that the Manscaped Handyman was able to still cut down my facial hair to skin even after 5 days of not shaving. I know Manscaped advertises it as being able to cut up to 3 days of stubble, but for my straight facial hair I could go 5 days and the Handyman will still mow through my facial hair without any issues. This versatility of being able to cut down longer facial hair and shorter stubble makes this a superior compact electric shaver FOR MY NEEDS. If you shave every day without fail and your facial hair doesn’t grow out that long then you’ll probably prefer a different compact electric shaver with at least two foil blades to make less passes and save a little time (my old BaBylissPRO MetalFX is an excellent option if this is you). I haven’t had any nicks since using the Handyman and it does provide a very close shave. It’s not the closest but it’s pretty close.Other pros would be the magnetic cap is easy to take on and off. The entire shaver is waterproof and it charges with a USB C cable (one less cable to carry around). Battery life lasts longer than my old BaBylissPRO Metal FX too. As a matter of fact, I haven’t need to charge the Handyman since the initial charge on the first day I got this. The ergonomics of this compact electric shaver is pretty comfortable and won’t make your hands cramp. The entire shaver is easy to clean and the shaving head pops on and off easily to rinse as well. Now for cons. It does take a little longer and more passes to shave your facial hair down to skin due to the hybrid design of having only one foil side and one trimmer side (again double foil blades would be faster if you only have stubble). If you run your fingers around your jawline against the grain of your facial hair after shaving, you might still feel stubble poking your fingers. People can’t see the facial hair for the majority of the day though. At this price point I can’t really complain at all. Only my full size Braun Series 9 Pro+ and my dad’s Panasonic Arc 5 gives me a closer shave that’s reminiscent of a manual or safety razor, but those are substantially larger and more expensive. Also Manscaped doesn’t directly sell you the replacement heads on Amazon (there are 3rd party ones on though that are cheaper) so you would need to pay for shipping if you’re just buying the replacement heads or need to spend $50 for free shipping on their site.I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a versatile compact electric shaver that can cut stubble and slightly longer facial hair down to skin. For how well this shaves, I thought this was well worth $56.

Handyman Will Come in Handy
I took into account some of the criticisms people wrote about it. I tried it myself and it works. Don’t press the blades/foils against your face too hard and it’ll still cut. Do it gently.Update: It did tug a hair on the neck line. But it could be because I went a little too over where the longer hair were. I still rate it five stars.5 stars for no rashes, cuts, burns, good portable size, and for giving me a smooth face on my cheeks. I love the USB-C charging compatibility. I may not need to use a razor blade anymore. Good value for what I got at a discount for Prime day. I’m looking forward in using it often. It left a good impression on me.12/02/2024 Update: I did get one long hair tangled up within the device when I was shaving on the neck line. So it caused some temporary pain that lasted a few seconds. No cuts or scratches. It’s better to do it where the hair is still very short. I’m still rating it a 5 stars because it still works and I like the product.

Works Well
Did one shave and it was very close and smooth. I dont have a lot of facial hair, pretty thin but this worked well. Would rather use this than shave. After a couple of days my skin did feel a little irritated which is mostly normal on a super close shave.

Compact and Convenient, But Takes Some Getting Used To
I bought the MANSCAPED The Handyman Compact Face Shaver for my son, and this was his first time using a foil shaver, so there was definitely a little bit of a learning curve. The first couple of times he used it, he experienced some irritation and a minor breakout. He’s since learned that using less pressure and avoiding going over the same area too many times makes a big difference. It can still be a little tricky to get all the hair in certain areas, but overall, he’s gotten much more comfortable using it. He really likes the compact size, especially for traveling, and the charge lasts a surprisingly long time.I would recommend it, but with a little caution if you have sensitive skin. It’s important to use the shaver correctly and not apply too much pressure, as it can cause irritation or breakouts.Overall, it’s been a good purchase and a convenient little shaver once he got the hang of using it.

Compact Close Shaver
This compact shaver is great for on the go. It is small in size. Not very noisy. Gets as close as a razor. Last days on a charge. Have tried other electric shavers but never got this close of a shave. The price is worth it.

Hit and miss with hair
It is compact and a nice design. However requires multiple passes to get the stable and even then sometimes misses hair. Reasonably close shave where it works. Hair removal is hit and miss.

Love manscapse! Escape the high price of a beard trim
Yo, am I the only one cackling at barbers charging like they’re crafting a Michelangelo sculpture? $80–$150 for a haircut and beard trim? That’s a new gaming console, not a quick buzz-and-snip!No tea, no shade, but I’m NOT shelling out $300 a month (plus tip, ‘cause I’m not that guy) to look like I just stepped out of a cologne ad. My wallet said, “Veto!”So, I ditched my rusty Wahl clippers (rest in peace, old friend) and snagged the MANSCAPED® Beard Hedger and The Handyman from Amazon. Y’all, I’m out here giving myself trims so crisp, I’m basically the Tony Stark of DIY grooming. The Beard Hedger’s zoom wheel with 20 length settings (0.5mm to 10mm) is like a cheat code for perfect stubble or a sculpted beard—no pile of attachments needed. Its titanium blades and 7,200 RPM motor slice through my beard like a hot knife through . The Handyman? This lil’ foil shaver is a beast for cleaning up my neckline or going full babyface. Dual-action blades (long-hair leveler and foil) make it stupid easy to get a close shave without irritation, and it’s so compact I toss it in my bag for on-the-go touch-ups. Both are USB-C charged, so I’m not juggling weird cords. Barbershop quality? Check. My bank account’s still happy? Double check.I’ll miss my barrette—my barber was a queen with the clippers, and the vibes were immaculate. But my wallet’s throwing a rave now that I’m not dropping a car payment for a 15-minute glow-up.Barbershops are a whole experience, don’t get me wrong—been loving that hot towel and banter since I was a kid. But when the bill hits like a plot twist in a horror flick, I’m peacing out. YouTube tutorials are my new BFF, schooling me on fades and line-ups like a pro.Let’s not fuel these bonkers prices, fam. Grab a MANSCAPED Beard Hedger and Handyman, channel your inner grooming guru, and save that cash for something that doesn’t make your bank account scream. NO ONE should be financing a yacht just to keep their face game tight

Great for a smooth shave. Stalls with trimming thick hair though.
If your buying this to quickly and easily trim a lot of thick facial hair it’s not great. If your using it to trim and smooth body hair it’s pretty ok. For daily maintainince it’s fantastic for face and body. It gives a smooth shave, just lacks the muscle for a lot of real thick hair at once as it will frequently stall. Battery life was more than enough and the shaver head only keeps popping off if you out it on backwards.

This shaver is awesome and you won’t regret buying it.
I love this shaver. I have been needing to buy a new shaver for about 2 years at the time I purchased this shaver. I have always heard about how great Manscaped products are and I must agree that this shaver lives up to the hype this brand gets. It is not the most expensive shaver for Manscaped, but it does what I need it to do. I true gave my face the shave I have needed for years. I just thought what do I have to lose. I will say that the smoothness of the shave was the most noticeable thing. I also realized that with the shave smoothness it means that I can get a really close shave and there is little to no risk if you shave correctly. I have only used the shave for about 5 minutes in total, but because my hair grows slowly, I won’t have to shave as often as a lot of men. I don’t have a 5o’clock shadow. I just can tell that just by this first shave that this shaver is going to last awhile. I can tell that this is a very durable shaver. The battery life is going to hopefully live up to the advertised shave time before it will need its first recharge. The hair removal was smooth and close enough without any cuts as I already mentioned. I have yet to find out it’s true level of versatility. I will definitely get a lot of enjoyment just from the clean shaves alone. I don’t know if this will need replacement parts, but if it needs the parts then I might as well just buy a new shaver. But with the affordable price I am not worried about replacement parts. I will definitely give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

It’s great.
Im not big on reviews but I’m really happy with this purchase. This shaver performs way better than some others I’ve used at a wya higher price point. It edges/lines surprisingly well. And the shave feels razor close. Battery life has been amazing so far.
